At DigitalOcean, we’re deeply committed to supporting developer and startup communities. One of our core values, our community is bigger than just us, drives us to find ways to better foster growth and innovation for builders in these spaces. As part of that mission, we’re thrilled to announce that DigitalOcean has acquired the JournalDev website, a resource with over 3,000 content pieces that complement the tutorial library found on DigitalOcean. JournalDev provides resources across Java, Python and other web development frameworks, as well as valuable insight for developers preparing for job interviews.
Content from JournalDev will soon be found on our Community site, where millions of learners visit monthly to find quality content from a source they trust. We’re thrilled to expand the breadth of our content offering to help even more developers benefit and continue building a community where we value growth and share our expertise.
Providing free, high-quality content for developers and entrepreneurs is a top priority for DigitalOcean. With more than 6,000 developer tutorials and 30,000 community-generated questions & answers, DigitalOcean provides important resources for individuals learning, growing, and building. Acquisitions like JournalDev are critical to accelerating our ability to support developers wherever they are in their journeys.
Our commitment to supporting developers will continue to drive initiatives at DigitalOcean. We’re proud to contribute to these thriving and innovative communities in a variety of ways, including through hosted developer-focused events such as deploy, or by supporting the open source community through Hacktoberfest and other programs. We’ll continue to build out the free, high-quality content available on our Community site and strive to welcome new voices and perspectives through our Write for Donations program.
